St Alban's school

the brief / project objectives

Having designed the school’s Sixth Form prospectus, the main school commissioned me to bring their own prospectus in line with this, but with their own identity and targeting a much younger audience.

The diagonal overlays echo graphics from the school’s website, creating a strong brand synergy and adding a real sense of energy to the layouts. This, along with the new vibrant colour palette, creates positive and distinctive look, which we have since taken forward in other projects for the school. The addition of quotes from the pupils themselves, sprinkled throughout the prospectus, gives emphasis to the children and their voices.

I was delighted that St Alban’s invested in new photography, which really lifts the spreads and add a sense of authenticity. The photography was supplied by the talented Claudia Gannon, who worked with me on the initial designs for St Alban’s Sixth Form back in 2015.

here's what the client thinks

Joy spent months working on a prospectus for the school I work at. Joy kept to her quote even though hold ups delayed the end date significantly. The finished product is fantastic. Nothing was too big a job and Joy even recommended a photographer for me – Claudia Gannon. I thoroughly recommend Joy.”
