Understanding Society wanted to commission ‘something different‘ to send to people over 65 who take part in the Longitudinal Study. The content highlights the various reasons older people take part and why their contribution is so important. The contemporary format, bright colours and graphic visuals celebrate the wonderful diversity that advancing age can bring to society.

the brief / project objectives

The cover immediately shows a diverse group of older people, all holding devices, ready to engage. Inside, the pages open one by one to reveal a unique message / viewpoint from a different older person on each panel.  Quotes are supported by statistics on how the participants’ information is used and the value this adds to the Study.

Each panel features an illustrated ‘wallpaper’ behind the image of the person, highlighting the key concept behind their viewpoint; from exercise to politics to social media.
